Spicy Chicken Taquitos

Wow! It's been a long time since I've blogged! 2012 was a super busy and wonderful year! I excepted an awesome job back in my hometown of Houston and made the move from East Texas in April. My side cupcake business has been keeping me busy when I'm not working then with holidays and family the year just pretty much flew by, but I'm back and ready to share some yummy recipes with you! The first recipe that I want to share with you on this New Years Day is super easy, delicious and makes a great addition to that game day meal

God's Blessings!

I wanted to share some of God's blessings that He has poured upon me. I am continually blessed with my health, job, family etc.. but I wanted to share with you how God knows the desires of our hearts and if we seek Him, He will bless us. Your desires can be small, from wanting a close parking spot to the door at the grocery store or almost unimaginable like a desire to own your dream house that you think you will never be able to afford. There isn't a desire that is too small or too big for God. If we hand God the steering wheel to our lives then you will find that everything will fall into place. You'll get that parking spot by the door, you'll get that dream house you thought you would never own. Sometimes I find that I'm still trying to be the driver of my life and speed bumps will occur. These speed bumps are placed in my life for God to get my attention and say this isn't my plan for you, hand the steering wheel back over. I have to say sorry God, and let him take control again. God knows my desires and he has been paving a path for me to receive each one. When you strongly want something, you usually want it right then. You don't see how it will happen right then, so you think it will never happen. Well, God just made note of it and He will see to it that you are blessed with your wants but in His time.
One of my many desires has been to attend college. I’ve wanted to go since I was a little girl but then sometimes things happen in life and it changes our path a little bit but not our desire. I’ve really been thinking about school the last few years but then all the con's start popping into my head as to why I can't.. or I thought ;) I would say to myself, how will I ever find the time to go to school with a full time job? How will I pay for it? It's been so long since I've been in school I'll probably be the oldest in my class.. there was always something that made my desire feel as though it would never be or shouldn’t be. Guess what!?!? As you probably saw in my last post... I've been super busy because I am now attending college as of this week! That’s one of God's blessings that was in His time, not mine.
Most of you know that I am a Scentsy Consultant, I had a goal in mind for this month and I've almost reached it! I've always wanted to do the best I could do in my sales but I haven't always applied myself 100%. Well this month I asked God to help me apply myself just a little bit more than usual and wow! August will be the best month I've had! I'm excited to apply 100% of myself and see the awesome outcome. This was just another desire, making my goal, and this is another blessing that I'm almost there!
Cupcakes! You all know I love to spend time in the kitchen and cupcakes are something that I just love to bake and I love to see people enjoy them. My desire is to have a storefront one day... lol no, no, I'm not there yet but if it's God's will I'll have one in His time so I'm not worried. However, I would really like to get my business going on the catering side of things. I've had cupcake orders here and there but not as often as I would like. Well... all of a sudden I've been getting calls for cupcakes! I just received yet another call today to cater another shower/party next weekend! Whoaa that is desire number three of mine that has been answered! God is pouring His blessings on me and I couldn't be more thankful. Last weekend I was able to attend church at Lakewood and Joel Osteen's sermon was on "God's Blessings". It was a great message and so true! Seems like God had that service planned for me so I could get ready to receive the blessings he has poured on me this week. I'm so thankful!
Here is the sermon "God is a Rewarder" - Joel Osteen. Enjoy! http://www.joelosteen.com/LandingPages/Pages/this_weeks_message.aspx

P.S. I'm not a writer so please forgive any mistakes you may see. I really wanted to share the blessings I've received, I didn't know I would have so much other stuff to say too lol
